Hunter is ready for adoption. His life hasn't been great so far. He arrived at the county shelter as part of a cruelty case and had to stay for two months while the case made it's way through the court system. His personality is very typical of his breed, Treeing Walker Coonhound. He wants to be near his people but not too cuddled. He comes for affection and when you stop petting him he gently puts his paw on your knee to remind you to continue. He's a gentle, lower energy guy but he does like to explore the yard and run a bit. He is used to living with cats and dogs and does well with them. He loves food and dances when he sees his food bowl being filled. He's calm and happy and his foster parents can provide more details when you meet him. He weighs around 45 pounds and is 5 years old. His adoption fee will be a donation of your choice to Citrus County Foundation for Animal Protection (CCFAP) who has paid for his medical care.
